Before the Algorithm: Lessons in Content Strategy from a 2013 Kindle Author and Podcaster

Long before the phrase "content marketing" became an industry buzzword, I was experimenting with digital storytelling and multi-format publishing to see how audiences actually connected with ideas online.

If you look back at my digital footprint around 2013, you’ll find my roots planted firmly in both non-fiction publishing and early audio media.

I authored 101 Things to Know About Being an Introvert on Kindle—a practical guide designed to bridge the communication gap between introverts and extroverts in the workplace—and actively contributed to creative audio spaces like the Flash Fiction Fridays short story podcast series.

Diving into these early indie publishing and podcasting frameworks taught me how to structure content that resonates, manages attention, and builds communities from scratch. Today, whether I am writing Python backend code or designing digital publishing assets, that same foundational focus on user intent, clear communication, and audience empathy drives every platform I build.
