It's fascinating to look back at where we've been to appreciate how far we've come. My entrepreneurial journey has taken many turns over the years, each one teaching me valuable lessons about business, technology, and myself.
Inspirational Guidance was my first venture, focusing primarily on teaching and coaching. While I loved helping others develop their skills, I soon discovered the exciting possibilities of the internet and digital marketing.

As I dove into the online world, I launched Little Fish Media Company. The name perfectly captured my philosophy: "You might be a 'small fish' but online everyone is equal." I dedicated myself to helping small and local business owners navigate the then-mysterious waters of search engine optimization and WordPress website development.
The business evolved from littlefishmediacompany.com to littlefishdigitalmedia.com as I incorporated "digital media" into the brand—a key industry term at that time! Looking back at those archived web pages brings back memories of the early days of helping businesses establish their online presence.
The testimonials from those years still warm my heart. Clients like Richard Weekes from Chess Academy noted how their inquiries increased week by week after launching their website. Anne Iarchy from AI Fitness shared how I "opened her eyes to a total new way of online marketing," while Lauretta Johnnie from Full Figured Fitness appreciated how her website attracted visitors both locally and worldwide.
By 2016, I rebranded to digitallyconnected.co.uk, but this period proved challenging. The recession had devastated many small companies, including businesses I had worked with for years. My energy waned, and when an opportunity to sell appeared, I took it, stepping away from entrepreneurship for a while.
That break gave me time to reflect and recharge. I missed the independence and creativity of running my own business, but I needed to return with a clearer focus and better boundaries.
Now I'm back—definitely older and definitely wiser! I understand how much to take on and when to say no. As a Technical Virtual Assistant, I've found my sweet spot: providing focused expertise while maintaining balance in my life.
I make time for my own online ventures while helping others with their businesses. Whether it's a one-off 3-hour technical tune-up or a long-term support package, I bring my full attention and years of experience to each client's business.
The digital landscape has changed dramatically since my Little Fish days, but the fundamentals remain: businesses need an online presence that connects them with their ideal customers, and many entrepreneurs need technical support to make that happen.
From Little Fish to Tech VA, the journey continues—and I'm excited to see where it leads next.
